About Two Anchors
Two Anchors is a partnership built around a simple idea: thriving communities are built from thriving people. Tend to the people and the rest has somewhere to grow from.
And beyond that, something we lean on daily — complicated things become more workable when you have somewhere steady to stand. Steady enough to hold onto. Loose enough that you can still move.
We bring together two very different — and deeply complementary — bodies of experience.
Two perspectives, one practice
We're both systems thinkers. What differs is where we enter a system — Kita through the mystical, Hags through the mechanical — and neither of us is only one of those. There's a good deal of each in the other.
Mechanical
Hags
More than two decades of technical and product work across agencies, large companies, and his own ventures — software engineering, architecture, product strategy, data, design, and the team dynamics wrapped around all of it.
and mystical
The leap, the metaphor, the connection between two things that had no business being connected — so people can take part in a decision instead of being handed an answer.
Mystical
Kita
More than a decade practicing astrology — at core, a discipline for reading patterns: what recurs, what sits in tension, what a moment is asking for. That same lineage runs through her work in emotional processing, trauma- and past-life navigation, grounding, meditation, and energy work.
and mechanical
Family systems, conflict resolution and negotiation, brand and content strategy — structure, applied to people.
Those two directions meet far more often than either of us expected.
Both require curiosity before prescription, and understanding how parts relate rather than examining them in isolation. That's most of what Two Anchors means to us.
We tend to look at problems as systems
Sometimes the system is:
- a person trying to understand why they feel stuck
- a relationship caught in the same loop
- a team that can't seem to work together
- an idea that hasn't yet found its shape
- a product, a website, or a piece of technology that needs to be understood, repaired, or built
And sometimes the thing that looks like the problem isn't the problem at all.
When the problem crosses boundaries
This is where Two Anchors tends to be most useful.
A technical problem might actually be a product problem.
A product problem might be a communication problem.
A team problem might be a leadership problem.
A leadership problem might be a systems problem.
A business problem might have something deeply personal sitting underneath it.
Real life doesn't organize itself into professional disciplines particularly well. Neither do we — though we try to be equally clear when something belongs outside our expertise and should go to someone better equipped to help.
If you know roughly what you need, coaching and web services are the usual front doors. If you don't know yet, that's fine too.
How we work with AI
AI is deeply integrated into how we live and work — not as software that occasionally makes things faster, but as another kind of thinking partner. One that requires judgment, because it has real blind spots and a real capacity to be confidently wrong.
We're less interested in what AI can do for us, and more interested in a different question: what can humans and AI learn to do better together?
What this isn't
Our coaching and guidance work is support, reflection, and navigation — not a substitute for licensed medical, psychiatric, or psychological treatment. See our disclaimer for the full picture.
